The C-type fan is a cantilevered, belt-driven centrifugal fan with a classic structure and wide application.

It consists of an impeller, casing, air inlet, transmission assembly, pulley, belt, belt cover, support frame, and motor. Its compact structure and centralized single-sided bearing arrangement facilitate maintenance; the speed can be adjusted by changing the pulley, and it is compatible with cantilevered impellers while saving on bearings.

However, cantilevered drives have high requirements for bearings and are susceptible to unbalanced forces; their transmission efficiency is lower than that of direct drives, and they require regular belt maintenance, making them generally unsuitable for heavy-duty or high-power applications.
