Explosion-proof centrifugal fans are generally used in fields where flammable and explosive gases are transported or where flammable and explosive gases, dust, and liquids exist in the working environment. In these environments, if sparks are generated when the fan is running, it is fatal. Therefore, Every workpiece in the centrifugal fan that may generate sparks needs to be treated with explosion protection.
1. All parts of the centrifugal fan in the explosion-proof centrifugal fan that are in contact with the gas must be made of non-ferrous materials (the common ones are aluminum impellers, which are not prone to sparks).
2. In order to prevent the impeller of the centrifugal fan from rubbing against the air inlet to generate electric sparks and cause fire and other hazards. Explosion-proof centrifugal fan adopts explosion-proof throat, generally inlaid with a circle of aluminum ring or copper ring at the air inlet of the fan (note that the selection of this material should be different from that of the impeller, if the fan uses aluminum impeller, this item can be ignored).
3. Matching flanges choose ordinary flanges or stainless steel chemical flanges according to the user's site.
4. The motors used by explosion-proof centrifugal fans are different from ordinary centrifugal fans. Explosion-proof centrifugal fans must use explosion-proof motors.
