The selection of explosion-proof centrifugal fans is crucial for production safety; choosing the wrong fan can lead to disaster, even from a single spark. Therefore, fan selection cannot be based on intuition but must follow scientific and rigorous principles. To ensure the safe and reliable operation of explosion-proof centrifugal fans, the following two core elements must be carefully considered:
1. The type of on-site environment and the operating process must be clearly defined, and a fan with the corresponding explosion-proof rating (such as BT4 or CT4) must be selected according to relevant explosion-proof standards.
2. During operation, the impeller, bearings, and couplings of the fan are at risk of generating sparks due to friction, collision, or static electricity accumulation. Special explosion-proof designs or treatments must be applied to these high-risk areas to effectively eliminate or suppress spark generation. Only by strictly controlling these elements can a robust safety barrier be established for chemical and other special applications.
